Day 5 - Salou to Barcelona by train
Salou to Barcelona: 1hr 15mins. The heading says it all... so here are some pics from the train station and some of my views along the way.
1&2. Lots of people travel by train here. Especially into Barcelona.
3. I'm always scared that the train will shake too hard and something will fall on me.
4. Graffiti travels across countries.
5-7. We rode right along the coast of the Balearic Sea... the water was quite blue.
8. Map of all the Metro lines that run underneath Barcelona. Where's your destination?
Spending the day traveling around on the subway again reminded me of my car free days in Montreal. If only Cali can develop a system like this... forget about relieving traffic... think about how much money you would save. Plus, I use to use it as extra time to nap between home and school (nowadays it would be home and work). Think about it... a one shot way from Downtown LA to Westwood? Hollywood to Santa Monica? LA people would be a lot happier I think.
I visited a few of Barcelona's historic monuments and well known areas today... photos to come. But you'll have to wait, I've been walking around ALL DAY and I'm beat.
Plans for tomorrow... hopefully another day at the beach!
